The Timberline Treehouse was constructed in the fall of 2015, after Timberline Adventure's inaugural zipline season. As it happens, the primary builder for the zipline course was Jason Lindsey, a regular on the DIV network series "The Tree House Guys". After constructing the course, Jason approached the Buttars about building a treehouse to be featured on the show. Naturally, there was no way they could turn the offer down.
With safety as a primary focus, another top priority for the final product was to create a house built entirely in the trees. This is where design and engineering brains came together in a combined effort to make "Tree House" a reality.
Many design features make the Timberline Treehouse one of a kind, but what steals the show is the use of an inverted truss in its construction- an engineering solution that eliminates the need for a traditional foundation or support poles. What makes this unique structural element even more impressive is the significant span it covers to connect the trees that are being used as its footings. As a result, the Timberline Treehouse pioneered the use of inverted trusses in treehouse construction across the country.
What you are looking at today is the product of a handful of brilliant minds f ram both the tree house and zipline industries, world renowned engineers, and months of blood, sweat and swears. The Buttars' could not be happier with the result and are honored to share it with Timberline Adventures guests from all over the world.
